What was I photographing on this day in previous years?
Three years ago it was North Lane near Belper in Derbyshire, part of an ancient route known as ‘The Portway’ that was used by the Romans to transport lead from mines in north Derbyshire to the fort at Derventio Coritanorum (now the Little Chester area of Derby).
