Yes it’s that pylon again! I think this is its first time in colour though…
I’ve recently started re-digitising some of my older negatives to take advantage of the Negative Lab Pro plug-in for Lightroom that’s now part of my workflow.
The original scan of this image was quite cold, not how I remember that particular evening’s light at all but Negative Lab Pro’s conversion is pretty much spot on!

Eight years ago it was this alien, painted underneath an old railway bridge that now forms part of a local path known as the ‘Greenway’.
The blurred figure in the distance is wifey… not an alien!

I’ve posted images from 10 digital cameras, 37 film cameras and 32 different film stocks are represented! (20 black & white, 12 colour).

Sheffield University’s new Social Science building ‘The Wave’ had only been open for a couple of weeks when I photographed it in May this year. The 16,600sqm structure was designed by HLM Architects and cost £65m but complaints have recently been made that the building traps too much heat in hot weather causing a potential health and safety hazard!

A few weeks ago I shot a roll of Lomography Metropolis film in a Canon EOS 500N that I found at a car boot sale (for a fiver, complete with EF 35-80mm f/4.5.6 lens!) back in June…
I didn’t know what to expect from either the film or the camera but quite like the muted tones of the former and the light weight of the latter!
