Wearmouth Bridge and Monkwearmouth Bridge span the River Wear at Sunderland… both were unusually free of traffic when I photographed them in June.

Three years ago it was The Birds, an abstract sculpture representing a flock of birds taking flight by Edinburgh artist Malcolm Robertson, displayed in the centre of Glenrothes in Fife.
