What was I photographing on this day in previous years?

Eight years ago it was the Norfolk coastline…

Happisburgh lighthouse must be one of the most photographed structures in Norfolk and I certainly couldn’t resist pointing my camera at it…

For the pillbox fans out there the above structure is a type FW3/26, dating from 1940/early 1941.

What was I photographing on this day in previous years?

Four years ago it was the seaside town of Sheringham in Norfolk.

I can’t remember where we were staying but this image was definitely taken whilst wandering to or from the pub (probably the Windham Arms… they serve an excellent pint!)

Fujifilm X-E4, Fujinon XF 16mm f2.8 R WR + R72 filter, 17s, f5.6, ISO 160

The recent hot weather has seen me dabbling in infrared photography, both with film and digital.

The roll of Adox HR-50 awaits developing but this image was taken with my Fujifilm X-E4, 16mm lens and a Hoya R72 filter.

Nothing complicated on the settings front, aperture priority automatic and the monochrome+red filter…

Ondu 6×6 Pocket Pinhole, 25s, f167 – Kodak Gold 200 rated at ISO 100

Back in April I had a weekend break in a converted chapel in Leicester and spent the Sunday morning photographing the beautiful stained glass windows on Kodak Gold 200 in my ONDU 6×6 Pocket pinhole camera.

This is one of the final images of the morning, when sunlight was streaming in and projecting an image of the windows onto the floor…

Yet another image from my honeymoon in Paris way back in September 2000.

The Musée d’Orsay is housed inside the former Compagnie du chemin de fer de Paris à Orléans (PO) railway station on the left bank of the River Seine and I seem to remember visiting it was the only ‘touristy’ thing we did all week!

An image of some of Derby’s architecture, from January… when it was so much cooler!

Designed by the firm Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher and completed in 2013 this striking structure is now home to the University of Derby’s School of Law and Social Sciences.
