Yet another image from my honeymoon in Paris way back in September 2000.

The Musée d’Orsay is housed inside the former Compagnie du chemin de fer de Paris à Orléans (PO) railway station on the left bank of the River Seine and I seem to remember visiting it was the only ‘touristy’ thing we did all week!

Digitised using Nikon D5600 & AF-S Micro-NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8, Nikon ES-2 Film Digitising Adapter and Negative Lab Pro plugin with minimal cropping and tweaking in Lightroom Classic CC.

An image of some of Derby’s architecture, from January… when it was so much cooler!

Designed by the firm Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher and completed in 2013 this striking structure is now home to the University of Derby’s School of Law and Social Sciences.

The Grade II* listed St Mary’s Bridge in Derby has featured here before… and given my fondness for a pint (or two) at the Furnace Inn just a few yards away, it will no doubt do so again!

The more I play with the Negative Lab Pro plugin for Lightroom the more impressed I am with it… the results from DSLR digitisation are far better than those from either my flatbed or film scanners.

I’ve mentioned before the complete disarray a lot of my negatives are in and this image is a prime example!

A sheet of negatives turned up yesterday (whilst I was looking for something else) and after much head-scratching I worked out that this pic was of The Church of St Mary and All Saints in Fotheringhay, Northamptonshire and was taken in August… 1998!
