A couple of photographs of Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire, taken with the Nikon F80 back in March this year.

I know I say this a lot but I really do need to make more notes when I’m out snapping! I’m certain the above pic is the west wall of the guest houses but I’m much less certain about the pic below…

I think it’s the remains of a staircase linking the Gallery to The Infirmary to the Abbot’s Gallery but I’m happy to be corrected!

The Nikon F80/AF NIKKOR 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6D is a combo I can see getting lots more use… it’s so lightweight!

The BlackBurne Tomtit is a 670cc V-Twin aero engine dating from the early 1920s. It was developed from Blackburne motorcycle engines and despite its lack of refinement the first one adapted to aircraft use was the best performing engine at the Lympne light aircraft trials of 1923.

This one is on display at the Newark Air Museum in Nottinghamshire.

Earlier this year I celebrated my birthday with a delicious pub lunch and a couple of pints of ale at The George Hotel at Youlgreave in the Peak District and a stroll around All Saints Churchyard with a camera… not everyone’s idea of a good time perhaps, but it suited me perfectly!

I haven’t used my Ondu 6×6 Pocket Pinhole camera in a while but seeing this pic from 2021 has prompted me to load up a roll of Kentmere Pan 100 and give it an airing…

Rain, a sculpture by Colin Rose consists of nine stainless steel spheres of varying sizes and can be found in Millennium Square, Sheffield. The spheres are intended to suggest drops of rain that have just landed on the surface of the square.
