16 years ago it was this strappy high-heeled shoe… why? I cannot for the life of me remember!

What was I photographing on this day in previous years?
Nine years ago it was Ariel, at her human’s home in France where she loved to sit in the shade under the roof covering the water well.
A couple of people have likened this next image to a scene in the 1997 film Titanic… “Photograph me like one of your French cats” 😂

What was I photographing on this day in previous years?
16 years ago it was the immensely-talented Australian blues musician Ash Grunwald at The Venue in Derby.
I rarely bought CDs from the gigs I photographed but at this one I bought two!

What was I photographing on this day in previous years?
Five years ago it was the New Bridge at Calver in Derbyshire.
Although called the ‘New Bridge’ it was actually built in 1781 to carry the new Sheffield-Calver turnpike road over the River Derwent. The building visible through the bridge is Shuttle House which once housed the sluice machinery to control the flow of water down the goit (water channel) to Calver Mill.
I remember having a splendid Croque Madame for lunch at The Bridge Inn in Calver that day too!

What was I photographing on this day in previous years?
Five years ago it was the flora and fauna at Straws Bridge nature reserve near Ilkeston in Derbyshire.
I’m not sure but I think I was experimenting with a Fujifilm MCEX-11 Extension Tube that day…
