Fujifilm X-T1, Fujinon XF 50mm f2 R WR, 1/1500s, f2.8, ISO 400

What was I photographing on this day in previous years?

Six years ago it was this statue of Desperate Dan from the much missed comic The Dandy.

Created by artists Tony and Susie Morrow the statue stands on High Street in Dundee, home to DC Thomson, the publisher of both The Dandy and The Beano (whose character Minnie the Minx can be seen in the background aiming her catapult at Dan!)

Slide Film Sunday… Santa Pod Raceway

Wading through my film archive often requires detective work…

I’m reasonably certain these images are from the August bank holiday weekend in 1995. I’m also reasonably certain I’d got both my Nikon F-601 and F-801s loaded with slide film at the same time, this roll of Sensia 100 is marred by a hair trapped inside the camera, it shows up on every frame… the other roll (probably Agfa CT100) is fine.

I’ve also found a few rolls of colour negative film from the same weekend, they’re next to be digitised!

What was I photographing on this day in previous years?

Four years ago it was a small classic car show in a local park and this appropriately dressed couple caught my eye…

Does the image title refer to ‘the look’ they’re exchanging or their outfits… You decide.
