We’ve not had an ‘Instant gratification’ post in quite some time and indeed this image is from the first pack of film I’ve used since picking up a secondhand Polaroid OneStep+ camera from Harrison Cameras in Sheffield over a year ago!

Yet another image from the fantastic Ondu 6×6 Pocket Pinhole camera and one of a number I shot on Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day 2021.
Crich Tramway Village occupies a former limestone quarry at Crich in Derbyshire and is home to more than 60 preserved tramcars.
Visible above is former Blackpool Corporation Tramways single-deck ‘toast-rack’ tramcar No.236 which became a permanent member of the fleet at Crich in 2012 and has since covered over 10,000 miles there!

14 years ago it was the Narrow Gauge Weekend at the Golden Valley Light Railway in Derbyshire.

It took me a while to remember where this pic was taken and even now I’m not 100% certain!
The area known locally as Pennytown has now mostly been swallowed up by the Derbyshire village of Somercotes and surrounding industrial estates but the ponds remain as a Local Nature Reserve.

What was I photographing on this day in previous years?
Three years ago it was North Lane near Belper in Derbyshire, part of an ancient route known as ‘The Portway’ that was used by the Romans to transport lead from mines in north Derbyshire to the fort at Derventio Coritanorum (now the Little Chester area of Derby).
