1956 Chevrolet 3100 pickup
Nikon F75, AF Nikkor 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6D at 50mm, 1/160s, f11, Kodak Ektachrome E100
I hadn’t used slide film in almost 20 years until I bought a couple of rolls of Kodak Ektachrome E100 from Analogue Wonderland last summer.
This gleaming 1956 Chevrolet 3100 pickup was photographed at MFN‘s ‘American ‘n’ Classic Car ‘n’ Truck ‘n’ Bike’ show in August on the fantastically compact and lightweight Nikon F75 SLR fitted with the very underrated AF Nikkor 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6D lens…
I loved the results from the Ektachrome, the images are sharp, contrasty and so very colourful, hopefully I’ll be able to shoot some more this summer!

Alport Heights
Olympus OM20, Zuiko Auto-S 50mm f/1.8 – 1/125s, f8, – Rollei RPX 100
I’m posting this image of Alport Heights for my regular ‘Photography Friday’ partner in crime, Rachel… thanks to the lockdown here in the UK we’ve not been out snapping for a while but this is one of her favourite places (and a fantastic spot for a picnic… when we’re allowed out again that is.)
Incidentally it was taken with an Olympus OM20 that she’d found for me in a charity shop a few months previously!

Derwent reflections
Fujifilm X-T2, Fujinon XF 18-135mm f3.5~5.6 R LM OIS WR at 18mm, 1/70s, f11, ISO 200
An image from a recent ‘Photography Friday’ walk with Rachel along the banks of the River Derwent near Calver in the Peak District.
This is the point at which Stoke Brook flows into the river, home to Brook Lampreys, a primitive, eel-like fish with a sucker for a mouth… We didn’t see any though.
Here’s hoping that our jaunts (and the world in general) return to normal soon…

Four-wheel, five-plank wagon No.30

Yet another image from the roll of Kodak Tri-X shot in a borrowed Nikon F…
This four-wheel, five plank railway wagon, was photographed at the Midland Railway Butterley (MR-B) in October last year. Not much is known about it other than it was built by Harrison & Camm Ltd of Rotherham and was acquired by the MR-B from Royal Naval Armament Depot (RNAD) Bedenham in Hampshire.

As an old friend of my wife’s used to say ‘money is never wasted on books or pork products’
I picked these three up on Sunday from a shop at one of the local tourist traps… None were priced and I was pleasantly surprised to be told £15 for the lot!
I’ve a horrible feeling that ‘The Hasselblad Way’ will only aggravate an itch I’ve had for a while to own such a thing…

’98’ is a four-wheeled, rectangular tank wagon built by Charles Roberts & Co. Ltd. in 1913 that awaits restoration at the Midland Railway-Butterley. I believe that the wagon ended its working life as a Sludge Tank at Lambton Coking Plant near Sunderland.
