What was I photographing on this day in previous years?

12 years ago it was the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway near Cleethorpes.

The railway occupies a short stretch of the former Great Northern Railway (GNR) East Lincolnshire Line that once linked Grimsby to Boston.

In spite of the National Coal Board (NCB) livery SPITFIRE spent its entire working life in the chemical industry in Manchester, latterly working for CPC International until withdrawal for preservation in the 1970s.
