I finally got around to sending the roll of Kodacolor VR Plus 400 film (believed to be at least 20 years out of date) I exposed on Expired Film Day 2021 away for processing and here are a couple of the images from that roll.

The local market town of Heanor isn’t the best place to look for colour images on a grey Monday morning but I did my best… 😀

Another image from my recent visit to Middleton Top on the High Peak Trail in Derbyshire.

I’m not completely certain but I think this track was at one time a railway line linking quarries at Middleton village to the Cromford and High Peak Railway.

This week has seen a reshuffle of camera equipment enabling the acquisition of a Fujifilm 100-400mm f4.5~5.6 R LM OIS WR lens. Like a lot of people I’ve taken more of an interest in wildlife this past year and this lens, longer than any other in my collection by quite a margin, gets me so much closer to my subjects.

More practice is definitely required, even with optical image stabilisation (OIS) avoiding camera shake is difficult with a lens this long.

My ‘Photography Friday’ outings with Rachel have been fewer and farther between this year but we’ve managed the occasional stroll with our cameras and the above image is from one such outing…

I think this sorry looking specimen was once a Ford Transit van and I certainly don’t imagine there are any salvageable parts here!
