For the last post of 2021 I’ve raided my (digital) archive for one of the few pics I’ve ever taken on New Year’s Eve… in this case 12 years ago.

A partial lunar eclipse was certainly of more interest to me than the usual NYE shenanigans that were on offer in 2009! 😁

Anyway… here’s wishing you all a happy and healthy 2022.

“No more work to-night. Christmas Eve.” (Mr Fezziwig)

Or… “The lamplighters are at work. It’s Christmas Eve for certain.” (Mr Fozziwig 😁)

A couple of images from what used to be an annual trip to Castleton in the Peak District for an evening of traditional carols on the last Sunday before Christmas.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Cool Yule or whatever celebration floats your boat at this time of year…

Single frame… Leash Fen, December 2021

A slow drive through the Peak District on a bright December day was just what the doctor ordered yesterday and I stopped a few times to take pics… Leash Fen is just inside the eastern border of the National Park and an area I’ve never really explored before but I’m planning a return visit as soon as possible.

Throwback Thursday… Fat Stan (again!)

What was I photographing on this day in previous years?

Fifteen years ago it was local rock band Fat Stan, playing a pre-Christmas gig at a local pub (the Dog & Doublet in Pye Bridge if memory serves me…)

Sadly neither band nor pub are still going but more pics of the former can be found here.
