The seven-storey Belper East Mill dates from 1912 and as a child (not quite as far back as 1912!) I got to explore most of it thanks to my Dad being assistant general manager there.

The Horseshoe Weir (built c.1797) was built to enable the River Derwent to power the older West Mill and replaced a much simpler structure located slightly further upstream.

Another image of Thurne Mill in Norfolk, this time from roll of 35mm Ilford FP4 Plus that’s been waiting for development for a couple of months…

The weather that day was perfect for an outdoors pub lunch and a pint or two (or three)… It’s a pity I can’t say the same of today!

Another image from my recent visit to Middleton Top on the High Peak Trail in Derbyshire.

I’m not completely certain but I think this track was at one time a railway line linking quarries at Middleton village to the Cromford and High Peak Railway.

This is one of the few salavagable shots from a test roll I shot in a Nikon F-601 before Christmas…

Sadly the camera has a couple of faults that render it pretty much unusable, the shutter release has a ‘hair trigger’ and towards the end of the roll the shutter would fire whenever the camera was switched on or off… A real shame, my first Nikon was an F-601 (in 1993/94 I think) and I was hoping to take this one on a trip down memory lane.
