What was I photographing on this day in previous years?

Seven years ago it was this Rudbeckia hirta ‘Sunbeckia Luna’ flower (at least I think that’s what it is…)

I could probably pick fault with the quality this image in a number of ways but as it makes me smile I won’t!

Here endeth today’s lesson! 😁

Monochrome Monday… Cottages, Berwickshire

Cottages, BerwickshireCottages, Berwickshire
Olympus OM20, S-Zuiko 28-48mm f/4 at 48mm – 1/250s, f11, – AgfaPhoto APX 400

This row of cottages stands empty, somewhere in the Berwickshire countryside… Such places start me daydreaming…

Monochrome Monday… W. E. Savage & Son, Confectionery Provisions

Another image from a recent wander around Derby… I don’t know how long it is since W.E. Savage & Son ceased trading but the shop has been empty for at least 12 years!

Single frame… Hollyhocks at No.6

An image from one of my first colour rolls developed by Analogue Wonderland’s new ‘Wonderlab’

They certainly won’t be the last rolls I send them though… lovely clean negatives (albeit sleeved in strips of four, I prefer strips of six) and excellent scans make me a very happy bunny!

Development and scan by Analogue Wonderlab with minimal cropping and tweaking in Lightroom Classic CC.

Monochrome Monday… Hook

HookHook
Olympus OM-2 SPOT/PROGRAM, Zuiko Auto-S 50mm f/1.8, 1/400s, f11 – Ilford HP5 Plus rated at ISO 200
Developed in Ilford DDX at 1:4, 7 mins at 20°c.

This hook is one of a number of features retained by a local building that used to be a pub called ‘The Generous Briton’. I’m assuming it was used to lower barrels into the cellar.

The pub closed years ago but the building also has (a very faded) sign and a skittle alley in the yard…
