Fujifilm X-T10, thingyfy 11mm Pinhole Pro S, 1.1s, f79, ISO 400
Last year I posted an image taken using a Wanderlust Pinwide 22mm pinhole lens on a Panasonic Lumix GF-1 and mentioned that I was rather tempted to find something similar for my Fujifilm X system.
Ten months later (and thanks to an eBay bargain), I have, in the shape of the thingyfy Pinhole Pro S and the above image is one of my first taken with it.
The effective aperture of f79 isn’t particularly ‘pinholey’ and as a result the image is very soft but I have a cunning plan to both reduce the angle of view (which is very wide at 11mm) and the effective aperture…

Christmas shoppers, Nottingham
Nikon D600, Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.4D, 1/160s, f11, ISO 200
A shot from the digital archives today… I remember getting more than a few strange looks as I stood in the middle of Listergate in Nottingham, apparently photographing people’s feet!
I sometimes miss the low light performance of the full-frame Nikon D600 but I don’t miss the weight or bulk (or the perpetually grubby sensor!)
Lamp shadow, Lower Largo

There’s something about shadows… Not necessarily the deep inky black ones found in high contrast scenes; sometimes it’s the more faint examples that catch the eye…
Sheringham Lifeboat Museum
Nikon FE2, Tamron Adaptall-2 35-70mm f/3.5 at 35mm – 1/500s, f8, – Lomo Lady Grey 400 rated at ISO 320
The Sheringham Lifeboat Museum, seen here on a glorious September afternoon. The museum houses the Henry Ramey Upcher, the second private lifeboat (replacing the Augusta) to be stationed in Sheringham. Launched on 4 September 1894 she stayed on station for 41 years until she was slowly retired from duty and by 1935 the RNLI Liverpool-class vessel J C Madge had replaced her on rescue work.
