What was I photographing on this day in previous years?
Two years ago it was this beautiful glass candlestick from San Gimignano in Italy.
I acquired the Sony NEX-F3 as part of a job lot of non-working cameras but all it needed was a new battery to get it working!

Chrysanthemum – Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day
Chrysanthemum
Fujifilm X-E4, thingyfy 11mm Pinhole Pro S, 0.7s, f79, ISO 160
Today is Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day and hopefully I’ll get chance to take a few pics…
This Chrysanthemum (in its ink bottle ‘vase’) caught my eye on the kitchen window ledge a couple of weeks ago and I dug out my Fujifilm X-mount fit thingyfy Pinhole Pro S ‘lens’ for a bit of a play.

Snow kept me indoors last weekend so I attempted some still-life photography using a Mamiya C330f twin-lens reflex camera and a rather interesting accessory called a paramender… I’ll be writing about this setup next week.

Bobbin
Yashica FX-D Quartz, Yashica ML 50mm f/1.9, f16; – Kentmere Pan 400
Developed in Ilford DDX at 1:4, 11½ mins at 20°c.
I’ve recently been experimenting macro photography using a set of bellows between a Yashica FX-D Quartz and a standard 50mm lens… it’s not the easiest setup to use, if getting the camera in the right place is difficult then keeping it still is nigh on impossible!
This cotton bobbin is roughly 25mm in diameter and only a slight crop has been applied to the image. The bellows were set to give 40mm of extension which gives (according to my calculations) a magnification of 1.1x, slightly larger than life-size.
More experimentation and practice is definitely needed…
