What was I photographing on this day in previous years?
15 years ago it was this beautifully restored London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) class J72 0-6-0 tank locomotive at Swanwick Junction on the Midland Railway-Butterley.
Although built to a North Eastern Railway (NER) design dating from 1898 this sole remaining example was built in 1951 by British Railways (BR) at Darlington Works.
If memory serves 69023 was visiting the MR-B for a weekend-long model railway exhibition.
